Ĵý

We embrace the opportunity to offer Indigenous girls an outstanding educational experience at Ĵý

Indigenous Students

As a school we acknowledge and value the rich culture and contributions of Australia’s First People.

Ĵý has a proud history of offering education opportunities for Indigenous students that spans over 50 years. Our first Indigenous student, Ann Flood boarded at Ĵý in 1964.

Our Indigenous students are well supported and have a dedicated staff member who looks after their well-being and coordinates communication between the girls and their families, funding organisations as appropriate, and the school.

Partnering with the we offer Boarding Scholarships to Indigenous students entering Year 7.

The College has a Reconciliation Action Plan that applies to education at Ĵý. We are all committed to becoming more culturally competent. We are proudly of our Indigenous students and welcome their contribution to the College.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Wangal people of the Eora nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which Ĵý stands.

We pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other First Nations people within the Ĵý College community.
